Kwesi Nyantakyi: GFA boss satisfied with FCPPL first round

The President of Ghana Football Association, Kwesi Nyantakyi has said that the FA is satisfied with the first round of the First Capital Plus Bank Premier league.

It was a competitive first round which saw football fans in Ghana generate attention to the games at league centres at the tail end of the round, and FA says they are satisfied with the teams and officials.

“From the reports that I received, I’m very satisfied with the performance of the players and teams in this competition,” president Kwesi Nyantakyi told Joy FM.

“Just getting to the tail end, a lot of interest was generated in the league and that was very good. We need to find a way to sustain it and I think the media has a crucial role to play in this.

“You must hammer home the good points about the league so that people can come to the various stadia and watch our matches. I also realised that crowd attendance to games also improved tremendously and I think we can get the supporters to fill the stadia if we do the right things.”

The First Capital Plus Bank Premier league second round is expected to start on the weekend of May 16 – 17.
