Tottenham Hotspur ready to hijack Roma deal for Marseille star Andre Ayew

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly looking to hijack Roma’s deal for Marseille forward Andre Ayew, despite the Giallorossi having seemingly agreed to a deal with the Ghanaian.

The 25-year-old, whose contract with Les Olympiens expires in June, is set to part ways with the Ligue 1 side this summer, as he does not intend to renew his contract and many teams are keen on securing his services.

According to French portal Mercato365, Ayew has been promised to Roma in case of Champions League qualification, however, Tottenham intend to snatch the forward from under the noses of the Serie A runners-up.

Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino intends to meet Ayew personally and convince him to choose the Premier League as his next destination at the expense of a Serie A move.

Ayew has scored 58 goals in 188 appearances for Marseille since debuting for the club in 2007.
