Kofi Manu threatens legal action against Sports presenter SONGO if assassinations claims are not substantiated

Football administrator Kofi Manu has threatened to take on sports presenter Patrick Osei Agyemang “Songo” if allegations leveled against him and George Afriyie are not proven.

Manu and management chairman of the Black Stars George Afriyie were invited to the Nima Police station last month after an unidentified taxi driver came to report a case of a hit on the popular “Fire For Fire” presenter.

The two prominent men penned down their statement and were bailed but are yet to hear from the police since then. Some believe it was a calculated move to divert attention of a defamation suit against Songo by Ghana Football Association president Kwesi Nyantakyi on defamation of character.

“I do not see the head and tail of the story but I will press legal

actions against Songo if those claims of a hit are not substantiated,” Manu told Citi FM

“I do not see assassins who will be discussing their plans in a taxi and more so we are yet to hear from the taxi driver since then.

“In between the time the report has been made till now we are yet to hear anything from them again.”
