The President,John Dramani Mahama has handed over the Dzamefe Commission’s report to the Attorney General.
The 400 page document emanated from the sitting of Justice Dzamefe, Moses Foh Amoaning and Kofi Anokye Owusu Darko over a two month period to investigate the circumstances leading to Ghana airlifting $3 million dollars to the national football team,the Black Stars during the World Cup.
The delay in the receipt of the document by the president had led to a public outcry over the lack of interest by the government to act upon the report of the Commission.
Several revelations were made during the sitting of the Commission including the fact that a consultant was paid $20,000 for directing caterers for Ghana fans in Brazil to a super market.The Commission also enjoyed prominence after the teary break down of then Sports Minister Elvis Afriyie Ankrah during his time before the commission.
