My time will come: I’m not perturbed by Black Stars snub – Gilbert Fiamenyo

The former Heart of Lions budding striker who is currently in the form of his life has netted 8 goals in 11 premier league games and one goal in 3 CAF Confederation cup games was over looked for selection in the Black Stars team for their double header friendly game.

However, the 22 year old bulky striker who over the week was tagged as a ‘lazy striker’ by ex-Ghana International, Augustine Arhinful says he is not perturbed for not earning a call up into the Black Stars team  ahead of their friendly games in France.

‘ If players do well in the local league, they usually get to play in friendly matches but I do not have that chance. If the opportunities come, I will take them and play for the national team. Any player wants to play for his country and I am no different.

‘I am waiting for the call-up but in the meantime, I will work hard in expectation of the next invitation. I am not worried about what has already happened.’

Gilbert Fiamenyo will be looking to update his goal account in Hearts of Oak’s away league game against Inter Allies at the Tema Sports Stadium on Sunday.
