1.46m Ballot Papers Distributed In Kebbi – INEC

election materialsThe Independent National Electoral Commission in Kebbi State said it has distributed 1, 458, 474 ballot papers for Saturday’s Presidential and National Assembly election.

Resident Electoral Commissioner, Ibrahim Zarewa, told journalists at a press briefing on Friday in Birnin Kebbi, the state capital.

According to the REC, out of the 1, 470, 648 registered voters, the PVC distributed in the state stood at 1,467,992 representing 95 per cent.

“1, 459, 725 Ballot papers were received and 1, 458, 474 were distributed across the 21 Local Government in the State.

“We have a balance of 1,251 ballot papers which were returned to the Central Bank for safe keeping”, he added.

Mr. Zarewa noted that voting will take place at 2,398 polling units in the state, while about 1, 470 vehicles were used to convey the materials to their various destinations.

“We have also distributed all the necessary materials meant for tomorrow (today’s) Election to all the 21 Local Government Area that made up the State”, he stated

The REC also assured that the commission in the state is now fully ready to conduct the election today (Saturday).
