Debut ‘See Ghana’ trip kicks off Saturday, March 28

Ghanaians have been handed a perfect opportunity to explore the country’s rich tourist sites when the well-packaged tour experience programme ย ‘Highland Affair’ begins this March.

The tour, which is the first in the series, will take participants on a daring adventure up the Kwahu Mountains in the Eastern Region.

The tourism train, the brainchild of Tourism Marketing Alliance Ghana comprising Bentsifi-Accra Convention & Visitors Bureau with the Support of Joy FM, kicks off on Saturday March 28.

The overnight excursion will take patrons on an expedition to the Enkofiehu Warrior Cave near the Echo Ravine just beyond Tweneduase.

According to the organizers, patrons โ€œwill wear a head-torch, with only ropes and stick ladders toย aid you in your maneuvers.โ€

According to history, the Enkofiehu Warrior Cave is the place where the Kwahu warriors would hide their women and children away from the warring Ashantis in the 18th Century.

Another highlight of the tour will be a barbecue picnic to be heldย at the Butuase Waterfalls near Tafo.

Limited tickets are available for only GHc495 per person.

The ticket, the organizers said, includes โ€œBus, a lunch picnic at the Butuase Waterfalls, selected meals,ย entry fees and other fun activities including a pool party at the plush Beige Village Spa & Golf Resort where the group will be lodging!โ€
