Vim yaazo! Kotoko spirit is back says Michael Akuffo

Kumasi Asante Kotoko middleman, Michael Akuffo says the winning spirit of the team is back after his side’s 3-1 away win over Bechem United last Sunday on match day 11 of the First Capital Plus Bank Premier League.

The defending league champions after that game ended their 4 league matches winless streak. According to him with the coming of new coach, David Duncan at the helm of affairs will put the club on track to defend their title.

‘Bechem United’s win was very crucial for the team, because we have a new coach at the helm of affairs and we need to win; [this] has brought back the winning spirit of the club,’ he said.

‘Prior to that game we have played 4 games without a win and it was negatively affecting the team so that win means a lot for the team,’ he noted.

On Kotoko target of defending the league title, the 26 year old midfielder said – ‘It is early days yet because we have just started rediscovering our form so everything is possible when it comes to football’.
