Club Africain box-to-box midfielder Seidu Salifu has expressed delight about his call up to the Black Stars. He was one of the star players during his days with the national U-20 team.
Speaking on his call up to the senior national team, the Ghana midfielder who is making waves in Tunisia noted that the invitation to the Black Stars offers him the opportunity to learn from the senior players and contribute his quota to the team.
‘The Black Stars now is filled with great players and I want to learn as fast as I can with this call up. I am just happy to have been noticed and if I get my chance I will look to making the nation proud,” he said.
Ghana play two friendly matches in France with Senegal and Mali at the end of this month and the 22-man squad is largely the squad that finished second at the Afcon.
The former Tema Youth player added that, ‘In this life it is about time and chance and so it doesn’t matter if my colleagues went ahead of me”.
