Ghana winger Ishmael Yartey is on the verge of sealing a loan move to MLS club Portland Timbers, GHANAsoccernet.com can exclusively reveal.
The 25-year-old is looking to salvage his season having struggled for regular game time at FC Sion on Switzerland after returning from injury.
Yartey, substantively a player of French club Sochaux has struck a loan agreement with Portland Timbers with an option to make it permanent.
He will thus be joining compatriot Adam Kwarasey at the club once the deal is confirmed.
Timbers coach Caleb Porter is looking to add one more attacking player to his squad before the transfer window in the USA closes.
The side have drawn all three league games played so far this season.
