Several Ghanaian movie stars came out in style to attend Friday’s premiere of Venus film’s new movie, True Lies, at the Silverbird Cinemas in Accra.
Among them were Ecow Smith Asante, Van Vicker, James Gardner, Benjamin Kwadey, Salma Mumin, Kafui Danku, Toosweet Annan, Zainab of Big Brother fame, producer Abdul Salam and a host of others including the movie’s cast.
The new movie is directed by Pascal Amanfo and acted by actors/actresses such as Jackie Appiah, Christabel Ekeh, Emmanuel Ikubese, Jose Tolbert and others.
Lead actress Jackie Appiah and the director were conspicuously missing at the premiere ceremony.
There were two shows at the movie’s screening. Both had encouraging patronage though the movie had late publicity.
Van Vicker and Salam
True Lies tells the story of Rosy, a gorgeous and elegant lady who is married to millionaire Bill Acheampong.
All seems picture perfect but within their marriage is heading for the rocks. Destiny however provides a salvage when bill loses his memory and Rosy is set off a plan to make things right again.
‘The tale takes a sour twist when Bill triggered by the Seer Candice begins to doubt everything she tells him… even his very own identity! Only then does he realizes that there he has been living ‘True Lies.’
The movie will still be showing at the cinemas at the Accra Mall and West Hills Mall for the coming weeks.
