The Black Meteors of Ghana head coach, Malik Jabir has blamed the wind after his side lost 1-0 to Mozambique in an Olympic game qualifier.
The Ghana national U – 23 team had the likes of Italy-based Abdul Rahman Chibsah, but succumbed to a 1-0 loss.
Mr. Malik praised his boys performance, but was surprised how the ball hit the back of the net.
‘I am surprised by the way the goal went in because it was an own goal and you needed to see it but I think the wind played a big role in the goal,’ he told Citi FM
Malick added that the team headed straight to camp when they return from Mozambique because they know what is expected of them.
‘We have moved straight into camping upon arrival in Ghana and we know what is expected of us and we will do all we can to make it to the All Africa games.’
The winner of the two legged tie will qualify for the All Africa games.
