I Will Give Priority To Women, Youth, If Elected Gov – Tambuwal

Aminu TambuwalGovernorship candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Sokoto State, who is also Speaker of the House of Representatives, Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, has promised women and youths in the state a pride of place in his administration, if he is elected governor on April 11th.

Addressing various groups, which are working for the realisation of his ambition in Sokoto at the weekend, Tambuwal said that no nation could achieve meaningful development if its women and youths were neglected.

While promising to provide micro-credit to women as well as entrepreneurship training for the youths “to enable them meet the challenges of the 21st century”, the APC flag bearer said women and youths would form the focal point of development agenda of his administration as well as “ensure inclusive and sustainable empowerment programme for them”.

Tambuwal also used the occasion to counsel the youths on the need to shun social vices and all forms of violence, adding that opportunities would be created in the agriculture sector, health, housing development and education in order to empower them.

Speaking on behalf of the women and youth, Hajiya Hadiza Ahmed and Comrade Muhammad Shamaki respectively, vowed to ensure that the APC formed the next government in the state.

They also appealed to Tambuwal to ensure that all challenges faced by women and youth in the state were addressed.
