Black Stars captain and Al Ain star, Asamoah Gyan has been adjudged the Male Sports Personality of the year at the maiden edition of the GN Bank Awards held at the Accra International Conference Centre on Saturday, March 21.
The people’s choice awards also saw veteran boxer, D.K Poison honoured with the Lifetime Achievement Award. David Kotei Poison is the first Ghanaian boxer to win a world boxing title.
Over a thousand Ghanaian celebrities and lovers of the Arts and Entertainment Industry thronged the AICC to witness the maiden edition of the GN Bank Awards.
Other winners on the night included; Shatta Wale, Juliet Ibrahim, Gifty Osei, Halifax Ansah Addo, James Gardiner, Nana Yaa Brefo, Asamoah Gyan, Kojo Frempong, Bola Ray, amongst others.
The GN Bank Awards seeks to celebrate and award people within the Arts & Entertainment Industry who have contributed to the industry on a yearly basis.
