I Will Seek Sponsors For Kotoko .David Duncan

Newly appointed Coach of Kumasi Asante Kotoko, David Duncan, has promised to use his experience and connections to seek sponsorship for the club alongside his technical duties.

Speaking at the club’s secretariat at Odeneho Kwadaso in Kumasi on Thursday, during his outdooring, the ex-Hearts trainer pledged to put Kotoko at the apex of Ghana soccer ‘where Kotoko really belongs’.

According to him, none of the clubs he had coached in the past ever outdoored him to their supporters as Kotoko had done, commending the Porcupine Warriors for doing him such a great honour.

Duncan said he was deeply touched by Kotoko’s decision to outdoor him, stressing that what the club had done was an indication that he (Duncan) should double his duties for the club.

The former Ashantigold Coach noted that he would do everything possible to ensure that Kotoko’s recent poor form in the league came to an abrupt end and also ensure that the club returned to winning ways.

He described his joining Kotoko as a ‘return home,’ indicating that ‘I will even use my experience to seek sponsorship for the club.’

According to the Kotoko trainer, he had already informed Kotoko’s General Manager, Opoku Nti, about his intentions of personally playing roles in wooing sponsorship for the club.

David Duncan entreated Kotoko fans to always throng the stadium and offer unflinching support to the club, noting that without the support of the fans his (Duncan’s) efforts to uplift Kotoko would be in vain
