Michael Osei to remain at post

Kumasi, Mar. 19, GNA – Asante Kotoko’s Assistant Coach, Michael Osei, would not be relieved of his post in spite of the changes in the technical department, the GNA Sports has gathered.

The former Kotoko midfielder had been acting as the caretaker Coach since the exit of Mas-Ud Dramani.

Following changes in the department with the signing on of David Duncan, speculations were rife as to the fate of the German-trained Coach.

George Kennedy, Kotoko Operations Manager, has said management in consultation with the newly-signed Coach had agreed in principle to allow Osei to remain at post.

This settles the controversy as to who partners Duncan as following his two-year contract deal with the Porcupine Warriors.

The newly-signed Technical Director on Thursday confirmed the management’s decision, saying he had no intention of parting ways with the backroom staff.
