Fear the Jeff: Schlupp could hurt Tottenham – SkySports pundit predicts

Former Arsenal midfielder Paul Merson says Jeffrey Schlupp’s Leicester City can spring a surprise when they travel to White Hart Lane to play host Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday.

Leicester, who have not won a game since their FA Cup win against Spurs in late January are languishing at the bottom of the Premier League log with seven points from safety.

However the SkySports pundit is expecting the relegation battlers – led by Ghanaian international Jeffrey Schlup – will upset the North London club this weekend.

“People are going to think that it’s my Arsenal connections as I am going to go for a Leicester win here. Spurs were poor last week at United and Harry Kane has just been called up by England. And that may mean him subconsciously not wanting to get injured,” Merson said in his weekly SkySports predictions column.

“Leicester have to win this game and while they were also poor last week at home to Hull, I think Tottenham will come on to them and the visitors’ pace in attack with Andrej Kramaric – who I like a lot – and Jeffrey Schlupp could hurt them.”
