22-man squad: Avram Grant names Black Stars for upcoming friendlies


Black Stars coach Avram Grant has named his squad for the upcoming friendly games for the senior national team.

The Israeli has left captain of the Black Stars and Al Ain striker Asamoah Gyan out as he continues to recover from an injury sustained on club duty.

The coach who led Ghana to the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations final gave a call up to Tunisia based midfielder Seidu Salifu as most of the players who played in his first major tournament with the senior national team keep their position.

The Black Stars will play Senegal in their first friendly game on March 28 before taking on Mali three days later. Camping starts on Monday in France
