Tigo Presents ‘Big 6’

Tigo recently introduced ‘Big Six,’ a new offer that gives new customers space to access the internet and do more on social media channels.

The ‘Big Six’ offers new customers free data during registration onto the Tigo platform, including 100MB to browse the internet for seven days, unlimited music from ‘Deezer’ for 15 days, and 200 percent bonus on all top-up using Tigo vouchers.

Ama Daaku, Acquisition Manager, commenting on the product at a press launch in Accra, said the package would give customers value for money without restrictions to particular digital or social media channels.

‘Beyond giving customers the freedom to pick and choose the social media channels they want, we are giving them bonuses on all talk time to keep them connected.’

Additional benefits available to users include a 300 percent bonus on all weekly and monthly internet packages, 300 percent bonus top up using Tigo Cash and free Tigo No. 1 for 30 days.

The Tigo ‘Big 6’ is only for new customers, including those who buy new SIM and those who port in from other networks.

The bonus talk time could be used to make calls to other local networks and international lines.

Tara Squire, Head of Mobile at Tigo Ghana, said the new package was designed based on customer needs and behaviour pattern.

‘An in-depth analysis of our customers indicated consistent use of several digital platforms, including Instagram and Twitter. Customers also wanted to roll over any unused credit into the subsequent month,’ he explained.

Mr Squire said the welcome offer would enable customers to utilize all their digital products, including unlimited music and Tigo cash.

‘As the first mobile network operator in Ghana, we have championed many industry firsts including free Bonto. Tigo Big Six is another such innovation to give freedom to customers to do more, no restrictions, customers decide what they want to do,’ Mr Squire noted.

Tigo, which started operations in Ghana in 1991, won the ‘Product of the Year’ in 2014 at the Ghana Telecom Awards.
