Saraki Receives 5000 LP defectors to APC

Bukola-Saraki-No fewer than 5,000 members of the Labour Party in Kwara State have defected to the ruling All Progressives Congress as the party’s campaign train stopped at Offa in Kwara State on Tuesday.

The visibly-excited defectors were received into the APC by a national leader and senator representing Kwara Central senatorial district at the National Assembly, Bukola Saraki.

In the campaign train of APC were the APC State Chairman, Ishola Fulani; APC senatorial candidate for Kwara South, Ibrahim Rafiu; Director-General of Mandate 2015, Rasak Atunwa, serving commissioners, political appointees, members of APC state executives and party elders.

The 5,000 defectors from the Labour Party were led by the Chairman of Labour Party in Offa local government, Femi Olawoyin.

The defectors hinged their collective decision to join the APC on the need to embrace the wind of change blowing across the country.

The leadership of the APC assured defectors from the Labour Party in the state of fairness and equity.
