Hearts defeat Elmina Sharks in FA Cup

Accra, March 19, GNA – Accra Hearts of Oak defeated division one side Elmina Sharks 1-0 in the round of 64 of the FA Cup match at the Accra Sports Stadium on Wednesday.

A 15th minute penalty converted by defender Isaac Oduro, granted Hearts the desired win to advance to the next stage of the competition.

Hearts struggled to extend their lead but failed, whilst the visitors also had some glorious chances but were unable to convert them.

The struggling premier league side have thus made progress into the round of 34 of the competition.
