A 20-year-old woman has been arrested after she allegedly killed her own baby by decapitating her. Deasia Watkins of Cincinnati, Ohio, was taken into custody and charged with aggravated murder after a family member found the dead baby. Odd News Blog has more:
Police said that 3-month-old Janiyah, was taken away from her mother and placed with an aunt after her birth.
However, child protective services were not notified that Watkins also lived with her aunt at the time.
Watkins was taken for a mental health evaluation after the baby’s father and other friends said that she was acting strangely about a month after the birth of her daughter.
The baby’s father, James Brown, said that he had been with Watkins for two years before their daughter was killed. He said that Watkins was acting strange, but nothing indicated that the baby’s life was in danger.
