Access Bank Introduces New Service To Empower Women


Access bank has introduced a new banking service which seeks to support women to help them contribute meaningfully to the socio economic development of the country.

The service, โ€œW Initiativeโ€, according to the bank is all about women who desire to be inspired, connected and empowered.

The initiative is aimed at providing women with information, networking opportunities and privileges that enhance their lifestyle and help them build their families, career and business.

It enables women to take full advantage of opportunities that will help them achieve their long held dreams and aspirations in life.

The ‘W’ initiative is targeted at three mean groups of women, W Young Professionals; seek to provide the speed and convenience of banking through a range of products and services tailored for the young woman professional.

The second category is W and Business. It offers women entrepreneurs with tailored banking solutions designed to meet the everyday needs of their business, employees and family in mind.

W and Family supports women with families with products and service dedicated to helping them manage their unique financial needs and it includes maternal health scheme.

The initiative according to the bank is open to all women who have account with access bank and non โ€“ customers.

Josephine Eva Arthur, Head, Women Banking Unit, Access bank, at a press briefing in Accra said the bank understands the critical role that women play in the development of the country despite the numerous challenges the face.

According to her, women in our part of the world are not getting the needed support to bring out the best in them.

She said the W initiative has been introduced to cure that anomaly so that women can contribute more to the development of the nation.
