A little boy in Vietnam have died after he was lifted into the air by a kite, according to a video uploaded to the Internet. Odd News Blog reports:
5-year-old Van Minh Dat had been helping his mother selling drinks at a kite field in Ho Chi Minh, when the accident occurred. According to the police investigation, Dat’s legs got caught in the kite’s string and was lifted 60 feet into the air before falling back to the ground.
A video shows the boy flying through the air before falling in front of a crowd of horrified onlookers. The boy was still alive after the fall, but he died in an ambulance on the way to a hospital.
A witness at the scene said that onlookers were quick to try to pull the kite back down, but were unsuccessful. Children are not allowed at the kite field, police said. Police are investigating why the child was allowed into the field.
