The 30-year-old Ghanaian is now playing his fourth consecutive season with the Rossoneri, where he has been given the captain’s armband on occasion during the current campaign.

According to Sky Sport Italia, Fiorentina had made a forceful attempt to sign the veteran Serie A midfielder during the summer transfer window, as his contract was near expiration.

However, Muntari decided to extend his contract until 2016 with Milan and ruled out any deal with La Viola.

Now, as the Rossoneri seem to be nearing a revolution in the club with foreign investors the Ghanaian looks to have set his future destination to Major League Soccer play in North America.
