Dakar, Mar. 17, GNA – Assistant Coach of Nigeria, Ugbade Nduka has said his team’s semi final match with Ghana in Dakar on Wednesday will be won on psychological grounds.
Ghana and Nigeria will clash in what is branded ” the final before the finals” after the latter came second in Group B to meet their perennial rivals who topped their group.
“We played Ghana twice as a build up to this competition. Both teams are very strong but we are fit, tactically astute and mentally ready.
“The one team that is stronger psychologically will prevail. Ghana is strong and a matured side but we will find a way to prevail.”
Nduka played down on suggestions his side was favourite for the match. ”
I do think we are favourites. We are just like any other team in the competition.
” If Ghana could get to this point and lose to Mali and for Senegal to reach this level means any team could win this tournament.”
