I Will Create 10,000 Jobs In 6 Months, If Re-elected, Says Al-Makura

Al-MakuraGovernor Umaru Tanko Al-Makura of Nasarawa State has said that his administration will create 10, 000 job opportunities in six months if given another mandate.

Speaking during a town hall meeting with members of the organised labour, Al-Makura, who is seeking re-election on the platform of All Progressives Congress, APC, also assured civil servants in the state of improved welfare package and better conditions of service.

Represented by his running mate, Mr Silas Agara, the governor reiterated his commitment to continue to place high premium on issues that affect the general wellbeing of workers.

He promised that civil servants in the state will be placed at par with federal civil servants in terms of salaries and other welfare packages.

Also speaking, the state chairman of the Trade Union Congress (TUC), Comrade Danladi Namu, commended the state government for the payment of the N18,000 minimum wage as at when due.
