I love the title ‘Dancehall Queen’ – MzVee

Dancehall artiste, born Vera Hamenooโ€“Kpeda, known within showbiz circles as MzVee, says she loves the title ‘Dancehall Queen’.

In an interview with Mic Gizo on the Showbiz Review, the ‘Harmattan’ hit maker said โ€œI won’t say I’m not the ‘Dancehall Queen’, I love the title and I get swollen headed when my fans call me the ‘Dancehall Queen’.โ€

โ€œIt means they really love what am doing and I appreciate it,โ€ she added.

Expressing her view on the rumors that she revived Lynx Entertainment, the former member of girl band D3 said โ€œme saying I have revived them will be super wrong, they have actually really helped me.โ€

โ€œWhen I started with my girl band D3, it was even hard for them to have time for us because there was too much they were doing, right now I think they have found space for me cos they see I’m promising,โ€ she continued.

Commenting on why she chose dancehall over other genres of music, MzVee said โ€œWhen you trying to get the attention of people in a very new space, you have to grab the attention the best way you can.โ€
