Peace at Milanello: No rift between Inzaghi and Muntari -Pastorello

There is no rift between AC Milan midfielder Sulley Muntari and coach Pippo Inzaghi according to the player’s agent Federico Pastorello.

Muntari has struggled to retain a regular place in the Milan team this season as the Rossonerri have struggled to keep pace with the heavyweights of the Serie A,with some blaming his lack of game time and reported unhappiness at the club on a rift between him and Inzaghi.

Speaking to MilanNews however, Pastorello denied reports of a rift and says the player has taken his current situation in stride.

‘The relationship with Inzaghi has always been good, even before Pippo became the coach of AC Milan. At the beginning Muntari was playing, then Inzaghi made different choices, but Muntari is a great professional and therefore has always accepted the decisions of his coach. He suffers when it is on the bench because he would like to make a contribution.”

“This kind of attitude that Sulley has shows great attachment to the shirt of his team. He has so much passion for Milan and great desire to help out. Sulley is a very generous guy with a huge heart, in my career I’ve only known a few guys like him.’

Muntari has one year left on his Milan contract and it is looking unlikely he will stay till the end of the contract after Pastorello also confirmed the player would look elsewhere for regular playing time if his situation did not improve.
