Kotoko Return Home

CAF Champions League campaigners Asante Kotoko returned home from the industrial city of Eulma in Algeria yesterday after drawing 0-0 with MS eL Eulma.

The team continued their journey to their base in Kumasi after touching down at the Kotoka International Airport last night.

General Manager Opoku Nti, nicknamed Lord Zico, said on arrival that ‘it is my fervent expectation that the team replicate the Algerian form in the domestic league. Things will definitely turn around.

‘The coach knows what he is doing. He is efficient, effective and we’re hoping to drive the club to where we are all expecting. We will support him to make our club succeed,’ he added.

Kotoko, placed second from the bottom in the domestic league, will be travelling to Bechem to battle Bechem United in the First Capital Plus Premier League this weekend.

The Porcupine Warriors have fallen out of favour with their teeming fans lately, due to their abysmal performance in the domestic league, but the Algeria results appear to have restored the lost confidence.
