Ghana defender Harrison Afful scored a late match-winner to hand Esperance a 1-0 win over Cosmos de Bafia in a CAF Champions League clash in Doula on Sunday.
The 29-year-old struck in the 89th-minute to clinch victory for the Tunisian giants at the Stade de la Reunification.
This is Harrison Afful’s first goal in this season’s CAF Champions League and his first goal for Esperance since returning from the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations.
The away triumph is a boost for Esperance ahead of the reverse fixture in Tunis on the weekend of April 3-5.
