The 2016 flag-bearer of the main opposition party NPP paid a courtesy call to the chief of Adankranja and Kokofu.Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo on Thursday 13th March, 2015 visit Nana Oppong Freyam II, Nana Afia Amponsah I(Queen mother of Adankranja) and Barima Offeh Akwasi Okogyeasuo II, chiefs of Adankranja and Kokofu traditional areas respectively in the Bekwai Municipality.
On his arrival which was not announced to the constituents in the municipality but was welcomed by large number of people. Telling his mission to the chiefs, Nana Addo said he just came to pay them visit and to greet them, because after he was been elected as the flag bearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) for the 2016 general election.
The meeting was behind close those which the media were not allowed to sit in, by reliable source tells that, Nana Addo asked the chiefs to remember him in their prayers to help him win the 2016 general election. According to him the NPP can do more better than what President Mahama and his NDC party is doing.
Nana Addo came with Dr. Amoako Tuffour (leading member of the NPP), Mr. John Boadu (National Organizer), Mr. Antwi Boasiako (a.k.a Wontumi, Ashanti Regional Chairman), Mr. Patrick Adu-Gyamfi (Chairman -Bekwai Constituency) and other executives of the party in the Bekwai Constituency.
