Ghana midfielder Kevin-Prince Boateng returns to Schalke ahead of their trip to Hertha Berlin on Saturday.
The 28-year-old returns to his former club after missing the side’s UEFA Champions League defeat at Real Madrid.
The future of the Ghanaian international has been hugely speculated with Roma believed to be leading the chase for his signature.
The Royal Blues seem to have a problem with their superstar as he may not be able to fulfil part of his contractual obligation which stipulates he plays for than 70 games in three years.
But the injury-prone midfielder has only made 55 appearances so far as he contract nears expiration.
Boateng returns to the Olympiastadion, six years after leaving the club.
