Ghana Champions Kumasi Asante Kotoko may not be fairing well in the domestic league; but they appear battle ready for tomorrow’s Caf Champions league tie against Algeria’s mouloudia Club d’ el eulma.
The Porcupine Warriors are no doubt fired up by the presence of newly-signed trainer David Duncan, who travelled with the team a few hours after putting pen to paper last Tuesday.
A close watch of the team at training saw a sharper side hungry to prove a point, and if that is anything to go by, then the team will return home with good results. ‘As you can see, the team is ready for action, but we are cautiously optimistic.
It is football but we’re hoping for the best to make the return leg less daunting,’ Coach Duncan said in brief.
Kotoko, third from the bottom on the league log, advanced in the competition by virtue of the walkover rule, following the pulling out of their Liberian opponents East End Lions.
Their Algerian opponents on the other hand qualified to this stage on a 2-2 aggregate against Ethiopia’s St George. Kotoko are in Eulma with a 29-man contingent comprising 19 players, seven technical men and three officials.
