Asante Kotoko General Manager, Opoku Nti has disclosed that the club’s incoming coach, David Duncan is in Algeria as an observer.

He said the former Olympics and Hearts of Oak trainer will be named as Kotoko’s substantive coach when the team returns to Ghana next week.

Kotoko are in the North African country for Saturday’s CAF Champions League, 1/16th stage, first leg match against Mouloudia Club d’El Eulma. Opoku Nti in his address to the players at the Eulma Stadium Annex on Thursday morning said:

“We all know why we are here. There are certain things we have to let you know. In Ghana, you heard a lot of things. If you have seen Coach Duncan here, he is here as an observer.

“By the grace or the will of God, he will be your new head coach by the time we return to Ghana. We have to give him that honour. Arrangements and everything will be done by the time we get to Ghana; he will be your new head coach. I wish you all the best.”
