Actress, Gloria Osei Sarfo, popularly known as Nana Ama in the long-running TV series Efiewura, has challenged women to take up challenging roles with men in our society.

Speaking on Asempa FM’s midmorning show “Abrabo” Personality hosted by Maame Akua Austin Wednesday, the actress said although women in Parliament take up some responsibilities in decision-making, their results are not seen.

Gloria Sarfo noted that women in Parliament should take up more challenging roles just as their male counterparts.

She said as the world mark the International Women’s Day, “the achievements of women in our national life and the progress made so far in advancing issues of concern must be significant and it should be done eliminating all forms of violence against women and girls.

“Perceptions that some male movie directors and producers sleep with female actresses for movie roles is sickening,” Gloria stressed.

On the future of her career, she revealed that she will be taking up strategic roles in movies like directing and producing to give opportunities for the up and coming female actresses in the country.
