Oliver Arthur, agent of 18 year old Ghanaian wonder kid, Godfred Donsah says the youngster is up to the challenge of playing in any team in world football, but insists no club has yet to officially table an offer for the player.
Donsah has been on the news since breaking into Serie A side, Cagliari’s first team this season and has been linked with a host of top European sides include English Premier League giants, Manchester City and Arsenal, both of who sent scouts last month to watch the player against Inter Milan in Serie A.
But agent Arthur insists they are yet to receive a formal bid for the teenage sensation.
‘There are only rumours. I’m yet to hear anything concrete from them, but I’d not be surprised if Arsenal or Manchester City show up. His assessment is about €10 million,’ Oliver Arthur told Tuttomercatoweb.com.
‘I think he’s absolutely ready to play for a great team. He has a special talent, despite his young age,’ he added.
Donsah has begun light training following injury and is expected to return to the Cagliari side for their Italian league match day 27 clash against Empoli after Gianfranco Zola was replaced by Zeman Zdenek as coach this week.
Cagliari are riding a 4-match losing streak and are stuck to the Serie A drop zone, three points away from safety.
The agent is adamant that the future of the player remains in Italy or England and also confirmed that some of Serie A’s leading sides have expressed interest even though nothing concrete yet.
‘I’ve heard of interest from Roma and Juventus but not in an official manner. I can confirm that I have not discussed anything with any club executive,’ he said. Follow @thedonplato
