Grace Omaboe Worried

Veteran actress and television presenter Grace Omaboe, popular known as Maame Dokono has disclosed that since she joined politics in 2008, she couldn’t secure roles in movies which in turn destroyed her acting career.

Maame Dokono, who had become a household name some years past said she made good use of her season by acting and hosting so many programmes which impacted the lives of many people before participating actively in politics.

Maame Dokono was of the opinion that public figures should not be vilified for engaging in politics or supporting political parties openly.

The veteran actress made these revelations in an interview on UTV’s entertainment news programme disclosing the challenges she has been facing in her career.

She advised movie producers to go beyond personalities and pick people who cut out perfectly for roles they desire in their movies.

“In Nigeria, old men and women are given roles as old people but in Ghana we have young people playing such roles. We are all around and we don’t charge too much so they can come for our assistance,” Maame Dokono advised.
