October has earned reviews for his fine performances for the former African champions despite the side’s unflattering start.
He has emerged as their standout performer in the midst of the difficult campaign.
Ex-Hearts chief Harry Zakkour, who supervised the side’s famous tenure in the early 2000s presented the award to the left-back at a short ceremony in Accra on Wednesday.
