A group calling itself the Mass Action for Development in the Eastern region is cautioning organizers of the One Ghana Demonstration not to use the former Finance Minister Nana Yaw Osafo Maafo as scapegoat.
The group also questioned the motive behind the One Ghana Demonstration and why a group purporting to fight discrimination and ethnic sentiment would discriminate against a section of the Ghanaian populace who willingly join them in the fight against Ethnic and tribalistic comment.
Mass Action for Development noted that the decision not to allow members of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) to join the One Ghana protest defeats the purpose by which the demonstration was organized.
The group, which has condemned the ethnocentric comments in all forms and has indicated that the organizers of the One Ghana demonstration lack the morale right to demonstrate against Nana Yaw Osafo Maafo.
The convener of the group Mr. Kingsley Ofosu Ntiamoah who spoke with Adom News in an interview said the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC) want to make political capital of it.
He noted that recent comments by Deputy Minister for Water Resources, Works and Housing, Sampson Ahi expose the NDC’s hidden agenda.
Kingsley Ofosu Ntiamoah said they will resist any attempt by the governing party to plunge Ghana into chaos.
