Clifford Aboagye believes his second time appearance in the CAF U-20 championship would make him offer a lot of experience to the Black Satellites of Ghana.
The Granada midfielder had a very fabulous tournament in the FIFA U-20 World Cup in 2013 in Turkey and consequently won the bronze ball as the third best player in the tournament, after Ghana had placed 3 to win a bronze medal.
Aboagye the only player, who qualifies to play this tournament from the Satellites team that won silver medal on the African continent and bronze medal at the world level has indicated that the rest of the team sees him as an inspirer.
‘My playing mates have so much respect for me and I am a motivator to most of them, because I am the only player from the Satellites team of 2013, still playing at this same level.
‘I believe my experience would help the team very much and although I couldn’t play with them during the qualifiers, I have fit into their coach’s scheme of things,’ he said.
The Black Satellites will take on their Zambian counterpart on Thursday in the ongoing CAF U-20 championship in Senegal.
They defeated the Amajtas of South Africa on Monday by 2-0 and a win will qualify them to the FIFA U-20 World Cup to be staged in New Zealand later this year.
