Go on loan! Palace coach backs Kwesi Appiah for loan move

Crystal Palace U21 coach Gary Issott expects Kwesi Appiah to land himself a loan move.

The 24-year-old was not included in Alan Pardew’s plans for the rest of Crystal Palace’s Premier League campaign.

Appiah, who is impressing for Crystal Palace U21 side, scored his first goal for Crystal Palace U21s since returning to the club from Cambridge United on loan this year.

“I think Kwesi is in a good situation where he can choose his next loan move and there will probably be no shortage of offers for him,” Issott told the Croydon Advertiser.

“He’s had a really good season at Cambridge United and then at the African Cup of Nations.”

“I am not aware if any clubs have come in loan offers for him but it wouldn’t surprise me if there was some good interest in him.”

Appiah will be able to exercise his right to quit the club on a free transfer at the end of the season if they do not take up an option for a new deal by April 1.
