€250 000: PSG players to pocket huge sums for eliminating Chelsea in UCL

€250 000.
That is one tasty motivation aside eliminating Chelsea at Stamford Bridge and making the quarter-final of the UEFA Champions League.

Paris Saint-Germain travel to England for the second leg of the 2014/2015 UEFA Champions League round of 16 game with each player set to get €250 000 if they manage to eliminate Jose Mourinho’s side from Europe’s elite club competition.

Edinson Cavani secured a home draw for PSG in France after Branislav Ivanovic had given Chelsea an early lead and an away goal.

The French Ligue 1 club would have to score at Stamford Bridge to have any chance of qualifying for the next round of the competition in which case each player would be rewarded with a €250 000.

Paris Saint Germain players have already received €100 000 each for qualifying from their group. Laurent Blanc’s side could earn over €1 million each if they are able to make the final in Berlin on June 6.

With such incentives in play, you can bet on a cracking UEFA Champions League game between Chelsea and Paris Saint Germain at Stamford Bridge come Wednesday night.
