CAF Champions League: Asante Kotoko leave Accra for Algeria


Ghana’s sole representation in the CAF champions league, Asante Kotoko left Accra (Kotoka International Airport) on Tuesday evening (9:00 pm) to Turkey before enplaning to Algeria for their first leg preliminary round game against Mouloudia Club d’El Eulma on Saturday.

Kotoko in the first round of the competition had a walk over after their opponent from Sierra Leone, East End Lions pulled out while Mouloudia Club d’El Eulma sealed their qualification after edging out Ethiopian giant ST. George on a 2-2 aggregate.

The Kumasi-based club left the shores of Ghana with a 29 man contingent made of 19 players, 7 technical men and 3 officials which included the newly appointed head coach of the club, David Duncan.

Below are the list of the 30 man contingent that left Accra for Algeria
