Ghana’s national U-20 soccer side the Black Satellites began their 2015 African youth (Ayc) campaign on a good footing when they defeated their South African counterparts (Amajita) 2- 0 in Senegal.
The Ghanaians started probing in the early stages and translated their dominance into goals in the eleventh minute from a defensive error (own goal).
After recess, the Sellas Tetteh charges multiplied in their opponents’ half, which saw Benjamin Tetteh’s perfect volley fly into the net, giving Ghana a comfortable two goal lead.
The Satellites will now face their Zambian counterparts this Thursday and later face Mali in their last Group game.
In other matches yesterday, Nigeria beat Senegal 3-1 while Congo held Cote d’Ivoire to a 1-1 drawn game
