Football gem: Roma to hijack Spurs’ deal to sign Andre Ayew


Ghana international Andre Ayew has top clubs all over Europe fighting for his signature. The Black Stars player’s contract with current club Olympique Marseille is set to run out in the upcoming summer transfer window.

English Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur were linked with the Ghanaian after contract talks between Andre Ayew, his father Abedi Pele[acting as agent] and Olympique Marseille is believed to have hit a snag.

Reports immerging from Italy now suggest Italian Serie A club Roma have hijacked Tottenham Hotspur’s move for Andre Ayew.

Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly started negotiations with the Marseille player but according to Sporting Witness, Roma sporting director Walter Sabatini is keen to bring Ayew to the Stadio Olimpico.

Andre Ayew is however believed to be interested in a transfer move to the English Premier League than Italian Serie A.

Andre Ayew has been on an excellent form for Olympique Marseille since he returned from the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations. The Marseille man was voted AllSports.com.gh Player of the Week after another fine performance with the French club last Friday.
