Legal representative of David Duncan, Amoah Larbie has confirmed the coach has agreed to an offer from Asante Kotoko.
The former Hearts of Oak trainer has been offered a two-year contract to become the substantive replacement of Mas-Ud Dramani whose appointment has now been terminated.
Duncan has been in talks with the top hierarchy of Kotoko for weeks now.
Discussions stalled over apprehension from some of the club’s fans who rejected to Duncan’s prospective appointment over comments made against the club while he was coach of Hearts.
But the club’s board and management forged ahead to agree to personal terms with the tough-talking trainer.
Duncan is now expected to sign the contract after his return from Algeria where he is traveling with the Kotoko side for their CAF Champions League match against MC El Eulma.
David Duncan’s lawyer Amoah Larbie has confirmed the coach is ready to sign the tabled offer having been satisfied with its terms.
“There are advanced talks and a principled agreement is in place,” he told Peace FM.
“I can confirm to you that our relationship with Asante Kotoko is almost cemented.
“Duncan brought the agreement before me, I have gone through it and have given him the go ahead to sign the agreement.
“The coach will be traveling with the side to Algeria [for CAF Champions League match against Eulma].”
Duncan will be making a return to active coaching having been away from the game for over a year now since his shocking dismissal from Hearts of Oak.
