Thirty- six key distributors of Frytol cooking oil have arrived home after a 7-day tour of Dubai and Mauritius to a rousing welcome by families, friends and co-workers at the Kotoka International Airport in Accra.
The seven- day all expenses paid trip was put together and fully sponsored by Wilmar Africa producers and distributors of Frytol cooking oil to say thank you to their key distributors as part of a strategic marketing and brand loyalty initiative. The initial plan was to take the channel partners to the World Cup in Brazil in 2014. However, this was thwarted by the Local representatives of the FIFA World Cup plus the effects of the International issues, despite all systems go for the team to leave for Brazil.
The first batch of fifteen beneficiaries who were drawn from ten different key frytol distributing points across the country departed Accra on Tuesday the 10th of February 2015 to Mauritius via Dubai with the rest joining the next day 11th February 2015 to begin their Wilmar 7-day Dubai-Mauritius experience.
While in Dubai, the beneficiaries had a Dubai panoramic city tour after which they visited tourist sites like the Dubai Museum, the 124th floor entrance to Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest building. They were also treated to some amazing entertaining package such as the Dhow cruise with unlimited buffet dinner, a desert safari with BBQ dinner and musical entertainment on the desert. The group had earlier had similar experiences during their tour 3-day visit to Mauritius. Full day at Iles-aux-cerfs Island (Beach tour) giving the group the opportunity to enjoy water sports and experience the beach which Mauritius is well known for.
