Woman Allegedly Sets Husband On Fire In Ekiti, Burns Manhood

Nigeria-police-logo-360x225The Ekiti State Police Command on Monday paraded a woman, Mrs Bukola Ogidiolu, who allegedly set her husband, Abimbola Ogidiolu, on fire, burning his manhood in the process.

Ogidiolu, a commercial driver and an indigene of Ado Ekiti, who lives in the Idolofin area of Ado Ekiti, ran into trouble when he left home on February 14 (Valentine Day) to have fun without his wife.

He was said to have returned home at about 6pm same day to meet his wife, who was fuming and had been accusing him of infidelity.

Stating her own side of the story, Mrs. Ogidiolu claimed her husband caught fire as a result of explosion from a keg of petrol kept inside the house.

“We had disagreement over his nonchalant attitude to my barrenness that day and we were fighting. Our neighbours tried to plead with him but he never listened to them.

“He later ran inside and destroyed all my property. But he had forgotten that we have petrol inside and when he was about lighting his cigarette, the keg that contains the petrol exploded and my husband caught fire immediately”, she said.
