Rivers People’ll Put An End To Amaechi’s Failed Administration – Wike

Wike-Ipalibo-BanigoGovernorship Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in Rivers State, Chief Nyesom Wike, has stated that the forthcoming elections the state will be premised on the decision of the people to put an end to what he described as a failed administration, led by outgoing Governor Rotimi Amaechi.

Wike said that all the people of Rivers are determined to put an end to the unpleasant days of Governor Amaechi and his associates.

Speaking during his campaign tour of Wards 15, 16 and 17 of Obio/Akpor Local Government Area on Monday, the PDP flag bearer said that failure in infrastructural development, rural development and basic amenities will be addressed under his administration just as he assured the people of the state that he will stop the unilateral seizure of lands from the people by the Amaechi administration.

He said: “This election is about stopping the negative legacies of Amaechi and setting Rivers State on the path to development.

“The people have made it clear that they are supporting PDP, because this is [the] only way to speedy development”.

Wike expressed gratitude to the Akpor people for always supporting his political alliances.

He also promised to improve internal roads within the area, adding that the blackmail adopted by Amaechi and his associates will not stop the PDP.

Wike also called on the people to vote massively for President Jonathan and other PDP candidates, saying Nigerians will not allow the country to be dragged backwards by the APC and its presidential candidate, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (rtd.)
